SSB Supports Book Bag Giveaway in Northside
On August 11th, SSB will support a great cause in its Northside neighborhood- a Book Bag Giveaway!
Local Northside resident, Brandon Cherry, in conjunction with Pittsburgh Outreach Program, organized his first annual Book Bag Giveaway as a way to give back to the Northside and Pittsburgh communities. So far, Brandon has collected 350 book bags and is now collecting school supplies to fill the book bags that will be given away to local students in the city and surrounding areas on August 11th from 3:00-9:00pm.
At the giveaway event in Brighton Heights Park, students and families will have the opportunity to meet a local fire department, participate in fun activities, and receive free services from local nail techs, barbers, and braiders. Food and drinks will also be provided to individuals that attend the event.
SSB will be collecting school supply donations at its Northside and McCandless locations from now through August 10th. Feel free to stop by and drop off donations in our lobby at your convenience. We appreciate your support and look forward to helping many students in the Pittsburgh city and surrounding communities with the school supplies they need to have a successful school year!
