COVID-19 Update: Your safety remains our priority.

As many of you know, yesterday Governor Wolf announced increased safety measures to help mitigate the substantial growth in cases of COVID-19 over the last few weeks. We recognize that as difficult as this may be for many of us, especially at a time of the year that is meant to be joyful, the safety of our customers and our staff remains our top priority. As a community institution, we are always doing our best to put the needs of others first; it is our responsibility. With this pandemic, specifically, that type of mindset is crucial to help get on the other side of this very uncertain and very real situation.

In order to do our part in flattening the curve, we are implementing the following changes in our daily operations beginning tomorrow, Saturday, December 12, 2020:

  • All transactions must be done through our Drive-Thru at the McCandless branch, unless you have a pre-scheduled appointment with a staff member. If you utilize our Northside branch, only one individual will be permitted in the building at a time to ensure proper social distancing is implemented.
  • Although we've been utilizing a thermal scanner at both locations, we are adding an additional level of safety and security when entering our McCandless Branch. Our front door will remain locked, requiring a phone call to gain access to our vestibule, where your temperature will then be taken before you can enter the lobby. We will only allow individuals to enter that have a pre-scheduled appointment. Please call 412-837-6955 upon arrival at the branch and someone will come out to assist you.
  • Masks must be worn at all times upon entering the branch.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust our daily operations to best support everyone's health and safety. We know that having access to your funds is extremely important, especially at this time of year, so we want to reinforce the following services and perks that can give you a direct line to your accounts without having to enter the branch:

  • Online and Mobile Banking: With our online banking platform and our mobile banking app, you have the ability to deposit checks, pay bills, transfer funds, check your account balances, and much more. If you aren't signed up for Online and Mobile Banking, click here or give us a call and we can walk you through the process.
  • ATM Reimbursements: If you didn't know already, we reimburse ATM fees on almost any foreign ATM. So if you need cash, don't hesitate to use an ATM to withdraw funds from your checking account. No need to make a trip to the branch to do so!
  • Samsung, Apple & Google Pay: We all know that cash can carry a ton of dirt and bacteria, so people are trying to more and more to avoid using it. More than that, why worry about having to hand your debit card to someone, or touch the keypad on card reader. Good thing at SSB Bank you have the ability to link your debit card to our three mobile wallet options, eliminating those concerns altogether.
